The test gives pointers to how your body is currently coping with training, recovery and nutrition.
What is done?
The lab measures eight microRNAs linked with nutrition, recovery, inflammation, muscles and endurance. They can change with training and lifestyle and give pointers to your condition on the day of the sample.
In addition there are four gene variants. They describe inherited dispositions, such as whether you tend towards strength or endurance. This is a rough classification and does not say which sport is right for you. The result is seven evaluations, your sport type and an overall score in percent.
Why does it matter?
- You get pointers as to whether strain and recovery fit together.
- Your sport type gives a rough pointer to your inherited disposition.
- In a second measurement you see the progress of the eight microRNAs.
Good to know: Includes a genetic analysis. Before the sample is taken, German law (Genetic Diagnostics Act) requires that you are informed and give your written consent. Common blood values like those at your GP are not measured. The test does not replace a sports medical examination or a performance test.
